Privacy Policy
The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run a reader-funded newsroom, we never sell your data, and you can leave at any time.
1. What we collect
- Account data: your email address and name when you create an account or subscribe.
- Newsletter data: your email address and the page you signed up from.
- Payment data: subscriptions are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record — we never see or store your card details.
- Messages: anything you send through our contact form, stored so we can reply.
2. How we use it
- To deliver the journalism, newsletters, and member benefits you signed up for.
- To process subscription payments and send transactional email (receipts, account notices) via Resend.
- To respond to messages you send us.
- We do not sell your personal data, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers.
3. Where it lives
- Account and subscription records are stored with Supabase (Postgres) with row-level security.
- Payments and invoices live with Lemon Squeezy.
- Transactional email is delivered through Resend.
- The site is hosted on Vercel.
4. Your rights
- You can unsubscribe from any newsletter with one click, at any time.
- You can cancel a paid subscription from your account page.
- You can request a copy or deletion of your personal data by writing to us via the contact page — we will action it within 30 days.
5. Cookies
- We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in (Supabase session cookies) and to remember your dark/light theme preference. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set.
6. Changes
- If this policy changes materially, we will note it here and, for account holders, notify you by email.
