Privacy Policy

The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run a reader-funded newsroom, we never sell your data, and you can leave at any time.

1. What we collect

  • Account data: your email address and name when you create an account or subscribe.
  • Newsletter data: your email address and the page you signed up from.
  • Payment data: subscriptions are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record — we never see or store your card details.
  • Messages: anything you send through our contact form, stored so we can reply.

2. How we use it

  • To deliver the journalism, newsletters, and member benefits you signed up for.
  • To process subscription payments and send transactional email (receipts, account notices) via Resend.
  • To respond to messages you send us.
  • We do not sell your personal data, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers.

3. Where it lives

  • Account and subscription records are stored with Supabase (Postgres) with row-level security.
  • Payments and invoices live with Lemon Squeezy.
  • Transactional email is delivered through Resend.
  • The site is hosted on Vercel.

4. Your rights

  • You can unsubscribe from any newsletter with one click, at any time.
  • You can cancel a paid subscription from your account page.
  • You can request a copy or deletion of your personal data by writing to us via the contact page — we will action it within 30 days.

5. Cookies

  • We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in (Supabase session cookies) and to remember your dark/light theme preference. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set.

6. Changes

  • If this policy changes materially, we will note it here and, for account holders, notify you by email.
